Why renew your boiler?
A lower efficiency boiler costs, more money to run as it wastes more fuel and heat during heating your home. Older boilers can be as little as 55% efficient compared to a new A rated boiler which is 90% efficient. You could save up to £350 on yearly bills by upgrading your old boiler.
Generally, there is a (if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it) attitude towards boilers but, by upgrading, you will benefit from cheaper bills, less worry about breakdowns, a quieter boiler, and a boiler with better controls.

What is a Condensing Gas Boiler?
Condensing gas central heating boilers, are the most energy efficient boilers available, offering significant improvements in efficiency and running costs compared to older boilers. They are more efficient because they have a larger heat exchanger, that recover more heat from the burning gas and send cooler gases out through the flue.
Older non-condensing boilers waste energy by literally sending a lot of heat out through the flue. Condensing boilers achieve the extra energy efficiency by re-cycling the hot exhaust, to pre-heat the cold-water coming in. Flue gases can get so cool that the water vapour in the gases condenses out, (hence condensing boiler), then even more energy is recovered from the vapour and the efficiency gets even higher.
